Mentoring & Supervision

What is Mentoring and Supervision

Supervision is a collaborative, structured exploration of your professional practice in a safe, confidential space. Mentoring is a one‑to‑one relationship in which an experienced practitioner supports your development, helps you frame questions, offers feedback, and guides you to solutions. Together, supervision and mentoring allow you to explore challenges in your work, deepen insight, care for yourself as a clinician, and grow in competence and resilience.

Through supervision and mentoring, you gain space to reflect on your clinical work, relationships with clients, boundaries, and the emotional load that can come with practice.
You’re supported, encouraged, and given space to grow.
This process builds confidence, insight, and resilience, helping you sustain a high standard of care for your patients and yourself.
If you’re newly qualified, it also gives you a strong foundation of guidance and reassurance as you find your feet in practice.

How It Works: Formats & Process

One‑to‑One Sessions
Tailored to your specific needs. You set the agenda; your mentor‑supervisor listens, asks questions, offers observations, and helps you discover strategies that suit you. This is ideal when you prefer confidentiality or are working through an issue deeply personal to your practice.

Group Supervision
Groups of 4–6 peers meet regularly with a trained supervisor to discuss shared challenges, exchange perspectives, and support each other. The supervisor provides structure, ensures safety and trust, and helps guide discussion in non‑judgmental ways. The peer interaction also builds community and connection among practitioners.
