Fertility Acupuncture
Fertility Acupuncture
Fertility acupuncture works in the same way as traditional acupuncture but focuses specifically on supporting reproductive health. It helps create balance in the body, improves blood flow to the reproductive organs, regulates hormones and promotes calm and relaxation.
Whether you are just starting your fertility journey, have been trying to conceive for some time or are preparing for assisted treatment, acupuncture can help you feel more connected, supported and hopeful.
Fertility challenges can be complex and emotional. My approach combines modern diagnostic insight with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to identify what is happening in your body and what may need to change for conception to occur.
At Stratford Acupuncture every treatment begins with listening, understanding and investigation. I work with both women and men to support natural conception, prepare for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), and help restore balance following miscarriage, stress or burnout.

What to Expect
Before your first appointment you will receive a detailed health questionnaire and can share any test results or medical information you already have.
Your initial consultation lasts around ninety minutes. Together we will discuss your fertility history, menstrual cycles, test results and overall health. We will look at your tongue and feel your pulse to gain further insight from a Chinese Medicine perspective.
Once you are comfortable you will rest while the acupuncture needles are placed. Most people find this deeply relaxing and may even drift into a light sleep. The needles are very fine and should not be painful. They usually remain in place for around twenty to twenty five minutes.
After treatment you may feel calm, refreshed or sometimes a little spacey. These sensations pass quickly and are a sign that your body is responding.
We will discuss any recommended testing and supportive lifestyle advice.
